AI Evaluator ("the Extension") is a browser extension that helps users compare responses from multiple AI assistants. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Summary: We collect minimal data necessary for the evaluation feature. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. All data is anonymous.
1. Data We Collect
When you submit an evaluation, we collect:
- Query text: The prompt you sent to the AI assistants
- Rankings: Your ranking of which AI responses were better
- Comment: Any optional feedback you provide
- Anonymous ID: A randomly generated identifier (UUID) stored locally in your browser to track submissions without identifying you personally
- Share URLs (optional): If you consent, links to your AI conversations for verification purposes
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email, or any personal identification
- Your browsing history
- Content of AI responses, unless you consent to share URLs above
- Any data when you're not actively using the evaluation feature
- Cookies or tracking pixels
3. How We Use Your Data
Submitted evaluations are used solely to:
- Analyze which AI assistants perform better for different types of queries
- Improve our understanding of AI response quality
- Generate aggregate statistics (no individual data is published)
4. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored in a secure Azure SQL database
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Access to raw data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- We retain evaluation data for research purposes
5. Third-Party Services
The Extension interacts with the following AI services when you choose to use them:
- Microsoft Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com)
- OpenAI ChatGPT (chatgpt.com)
- Google Gemini (gemini.google.com)
- Perplexity AI (perplexity.ai)
- Anthropic Claude (claude.ai)
- xAI Grok (grok.com)
- Meta AI (meta.ai)
Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns about how they handle your data.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Opt out: Simply don't submit evaluations - the Extension works for comparison without submission
- Request deletion: Contact us to request deletion of your submitted data (we'll match by your anonymous ID)
- Uninstall: Remove the Extension at any time through your browser settings
7. Children's Privacy
This Extension is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted in the Extension's update notes.
